N-Power: OAGF Awaits September Allocation

The Nigeria Government awaits the disbursement of September allocation among the three tiers of government, which would happen any moment from now.
In time past, the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation lacks funds needed to carry out payment, due to delayed allocation.
The Accountant General of the Federation is ready to make all outstanding Federal Government payment to workers including the stipends meant for Social Investment Programme.
The OAGF confirmed that, over 14,000 N-Power Volunteers was rejected by GIFMIS payment platform, but the issue has been resolved.
It could be recalled, that the Federal Government confirmed receiving 52% of N682.060BN from August allocation hence N-Power July stipends were paid to batch B volunteers.
The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) shared a total of N682.060 billion August 2020 federation account revenue to the Federal, States and Local Government Councils and agencies.
And the government swung into action to pay N-Power volunteers their July stipends without delay.
"If all go according to plan and September Allocation is shared within the week, all N-Power outstanding backlogs will be paid"- Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).
This will give way for the next plan of transiting disengaged N-Power Volunteers into Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as promised by the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs - Sadiya Umar Farouq.
