The Npower Physical Verification Exercise, Everything You Need To Know

Physical verification is a process whereby both original and photocopies of all  credentials, certificates and other documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal https://nasims.gov.ng is presented physically to Npower physical verification officers to check if it matches the credentials, certificates and documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal, these documents will be checked by the National Youth Service Corps members at all National Orientation Agency centres in states and local government secretariats nationwide. The Npower physical verification is the second stage of the screening process, at this stage, the Age, Gender, Residential Address, Local Government Areas, Academic Qualifications, and National Youth Service Corp credentials of the Npower applicants will be verified.

The credentials, certificates and documents to be checked by the Npower physical verification officers includes the following below;


CATEGORY 1


Documents that shows date of birth, which includes any one of the following below:


A) Birth Certificate

B) Baptismal Card

C) Affidavit of Age Declaration

D) Valid Photo ID which includes any of the following:

1) National Identity Card

2) Bio Data Page of International Passport

3) Voter's Card

4) Driver's Licence


CATEGORY 2 


Document showing proof of address of residence, which includes any one of the following below:


A) National Identity Card showing your address of residence 

B) Utility Bill which includes any of the following:

1) Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Bill

2) Nigeria Water Corporation Bill

3) Waste Bill 

4) Voter's Card capturing your residential address

5) General knowledge of local area of residence 


CATEGORY 3


Documents that shows your academic qualification, which includes any of the following:


A) Bachelor's Degree, Statement of Result or Transcript

B) Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate, Statement of Result or Transcript

C) Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate, Statement of Result or Transcript

D) National Certificate In Education (NCE), Statement of Result or Transcript


CATEGORY 4


National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) documents which includes the following:


A) NYSC Certificate or Discharge Certificate

B) NYSC Exemption documents 




In addition to the above, all Npower applicants should take note of the following below;


1) The Npower applicant's physical verification centre is at the residential Local Government Area Secretariat.


2) Npower applicants that had already done their biometrics but missed the previous physical verification exercise are expected to join the current batch and partake in this physical verification exercise.


3) All Npower applicants are to follow the instructions at the Npower physical verification centre.


4) All Npower applicants should be orderly and courteous.


5) All Npower applicants must ensure they have all documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal.


6) Npower applicants are not to pay money to anyone at the Npower physical verification centre. The Npower physical verification exercise is totally free of charge.


7) Npower applicants should NOT, give anyone his or her BVN slip.


8) Npower applicants that were pre-selected and cannot find their names at their local government area of residence, should check other nearby local government areas.


9) Npower applicants should wait for the next step after concluding the Npower physical verification exercise, and ignore anyone who claim they can help you to make it to the final selection.




The Npower physical verification officers will check all documents one after the order and any document that passes the physical verification will be marked ✓ verified, the Npower applicant is expected to pass the Npower physical verification exercise if all documents presented physically matches the documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal, the Npower applicant must achieve 100% verification in order to pass the verification exercise, a mark short of 100% means that the Npower applicant did not pass the physical verification and therefore cannot progress to the next stage of the selection process which is the deployment stage, therefore Npower applicants are strictly advised to ensure that they have all hard copies both originals and photocopies of the documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal with them.

Although the Osun State focal person for the National Social Investment Programme had earlier informed the public particularly the Osun State Npower applicants that the physical verification will start on Monday 13th of June, Npower applicants are advised by Npower to exercise patience and wait for official statement from them on all their social media handles and on the Npower self service portal, Npower applicants should note that if Npower have not released an official statement regarding when the Npower physical verification will start, the Npower physical verification cannot start.
