Npower News: Be Verified To Receive Federal Government Grant Ogun State Government Tells Traders

According to Npower News, the Ogun State Government has urged small business owners and traders to take part in the ongoing verification and enumeration exercise in the twenty local government areas of the state to enable them to get the federal government grant.

The Commissioner for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Mr Adebola Sofela, disclosed this on Thursday 16th May, that the verification and enumeration exercise started on Monday and would end on Friday.

According to Npower News, Mr Adebola Sofela stated that the Bank of Industry had sent text messages to individuals who registered for the federal government grant earlier, pointing out that most stakeholders thought the federal government grant process was fake.

Mr Adebola Sofela said, “Both the Federal Government and Ogun State Government remain unwavering in their decision to upgrade the status of small-scale business owners.”

Mr Adebola Sofela implored prospective beneficiaries of the federal government grant to report to the nearest local government secretariat with their Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN) for data capture.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Olu Aikulola, noted that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration was taking advantage of every opportunity to boost the standard of living of its people.

“The focus of the state government on both the industrial sector and small-scale businesses is second to none. It will continue to create an enabling environment for business to thrive,” Dr Olu Aikulola added.
