Categories of Beneficiaries for the FG's ₦24.8 Billion Cash Transfer
The Federal Government has recently released ₦24.8 billion for a cash transfer program aimed at benefiting 991,261 individuals. Below, we detail the various categories of beneficiaries for this initiative.
Who will benefit from this fund?
The funding is set to support programs such as the Rapid Response Register (RRR), Conditional Cash Transfer for Poor and Vulnerable Households (CCT PVHH), the National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO), and the Household Uplifting Programme (HUP).
These programs were originally introduced during former President Muhammadu Buhari's administration and have since benefited thousands of people. Under President Tinubu's Renewed Hope initiative, payments are continuing for verified beneficiaries, with the government committed to maintaining the support started previously.
Many beneficiaries have begun receiving their payment alerts, with disbursements currently ongoing.
How were people enrolled in these programs?
1. Some individuals applied via a direct code sent to their phone.
2. Others registered through a provided link.
3. Enumerators registered some beneficiaries directly.
4. There were also house-to-house registration efforts where individuals were given yellow and blue cards, among other methods.
