Npower News: How To Check Your Name If You Have Been Paid On The Federal Government Grant Portal Using Bank Verification Number (BVN)

According to Npower News, in order to ensure transparency in the disbursement process of federal government grant, the Federal Government of Nigeria in conjunction with the Ministry for Industry, Trade and Investment have introduced a new feature on the federal government grant portal that allows beneficiaries and even applicants to view their names on the portal using their Bank Verification Number (BVN). This process is being introduced by the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, to allow for accountability and transparency in the federal government grant distribution process.


How To Check Your Name On The Federal Government Grant Portal Using BVN 


The following steps below if followed properly, can be used to check your name in the federal government grant portal


1) The beneficiary or applicant for the federal government grant should navigate to the federal government grant portal.


2) The applicant or beneficiary should select ‘Apply Grant’ on the federal government grant portal.


3) The applicant or beneficiary should click on ‘VIEW BENEFICIARIES’ on the federal government grant portal.


3) The applicant or beneficiary should type his or her local government area in the search box of the list on the federal government grant portal.


4) The applicant or beneficiary should select his or her local government area from the dropdown that appears.


5) The applicant or beneficiary should input his or her Bank Verification Number (BVN) in the search box, and the beneficiary's details will be displayed on the federal government grant portal.


Kindly note that applicants that cannot find their names on the federal government grant portal, should note that all the local government areas are yet to be captured on the federal government grant portal and the federal government grant disbursement is ongoing and will continue till the end of May.


This development is part of the federal government’s commitment and dedication to an open, accountable and transparent system where Nigerians can easily gain access to information with respect to how public funds are being utilized.
