NPower Canada is a non governmental organization that trains Canadian job applicants and links these job applicants to major employers in the information and technology sector after successfully completing the training.
The Npower Junior Data Analyst Program is totally free and is an intermediate program.
This programme is co-sponsored and developed in collaboration with Microsoft, the Npower Junior Data Analyst Program equips trainees with a certificate in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NPOWER JUNIOR DATA ANALYST PROGRAM
Job applicants must have prior knowledge in Information Technology, and computer programming.

WHAT THE NPOWER TRAINEE WILL LEARN DURING THE COURSE OF THE NPOWER JUNIOR DATA ANALYST PROGRAM
1) The applicant will learn Excel and SQL Fundamentals for Data Science.
2) The Npower applicant will learn to write progressively complex data queries; and change these queries into scheduled jobs.
3) The Npower applicant will interpret structure, relationships and meaning in source data.
4) The Npower applicant will learn how to clean data by conducting quality checks and backfilling.
5) The trainee will learn how to group data into segments and analyze data.
6) The Npower trainee will learn how to use case statements to implement conditional logic.
7) The trainee will learn how to conduct tests and how to validate data.
8) Trainees will be tutored on how to perform AB test analysis.
9) Trainees will be taught on how to use Python for Applied Data Science and AI
Python fundamentals.
10) Trainees will be tutored on how to build data pipeline and machine learning regression models.
11) Trainees will be taught extensively on the following Microsoft Azure Fundamentals:

12) Applicants will learn basic concepts of networking, cloud storage, cloud computing.

NPOWER JUNIOR DATA ANALYST PROGRAM SCHEDULE
This junior data analyst program is takes place three times in a year.

starts from September 12 to December 23, 2022, the program runs for about four consecutive months, Mondays to Fridays, 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NPOWER JUNIOR DATA ANALYST PROGRAM
1) Trainee must be a Canadian job seeker.
2) Trainees should have a high school diploma certificate or Tests of General Educational Development (GED) from a recognized Canadian or international educational institution.
3) Applicants must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN). Applicants with a work permit, must ensure that the work permit is valid for at least one year after the Npower Junior Data Analyst program start date and the applicant must be eligible to work full-time in Canada.
4) Trainee must be unemployed or under-employed.
5) Trainee must possess an advanced English language skills, from level 7 and above, not excluding speaking, reading, writing, and understanding.
6) Trainee must be able to demonstrate a strong enthusiasm to work and to learn.
7) Trainee must have a knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
8) Trainee must have an experience working with Microsoft Excel.
9) Applicants must have a minimum of Grade 12 level statistics, calculus or advanced functions knowledge.
10) Applicant must have taken courses, or have experience or working knowledge in R or Python Statistical Programming.
11) Applicant must have either taken courses or have an understanding of machine learning.
12) Applicant must have a passion for working with data and solving logical reasoning puzzles and cases.
13) The Npower Junior Data Analyst applicant must be a resident of British Columbia or Ontario.
