What Is Npower Payment?

Npower payment is a process whereby the bank account of an Npower beneficiary is being processed for payment. Npower payment is the situation in which the bank account of an Npower beneficiary is credited. The Npower payment at its initial phase when initiated it becomes pending Npower payment, then from pending Npower payment it moves to processing Npower payment, then from processing Npower payment it finally becomes paid, at this stage the bank account of an Npower beneficiary is credited.

Npower beneficiaries under the graduate categories such as N-Teach, N-Health and N-Agro receives an Npower payment of ₦30,000 for 12 months, while Npower beneficiaries under the non graduate categories such as N-Tech, N-Creative, and N-Build receives an Npower payment of ₦21,000 for first three months of training then ₦10,000 for the next six months of apprenticeship.

Who Is Eligible For Npower Payment?

The following Npower beneficiaries are eligible for Npower payment;

A. Npower Beneficiary: An Npower beneficiary either under the Npower graduate category or under the Npower non graduate category is entitled to receive Npower payment, once the Npower portal displays "beneficiary" the Npower applicant receives Npower payment once payment is made.

B. Shortlisted Preselected Npower Applicant: A shortlisted Npower applicant that have completed the Npower validation process is eligible for Npower payment, although after the Npower validation process must have been completed successfully, the shortlisted Npower applicant might have to wait for a while for an update to be made on the Npower portal before being eligible for Npower payment.

C. Npower Beneficiary That Have Completed Npower Validation: This applies to an Npower beneficiary with Npower payment issues, Npower beneficiaries with Npower payment issues that have completed the Npower validation will be processed for Npower payment.

When Is Npower Payment Made?

Npower payment is made immediately funds are available for payment by the Accountant General of the Federation.

How Is Npower Payment Made?

The Minster for Humanitarian Affairs after approving the Npower payment list forwards the Npower payment list to the Permanent Secretary, the Permanent Secretary sends the list to the Accountant General of the Federation, the Accountant General of the Federation authorizes the Npower payment to Npower beneficiaries through the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Npower payment is made finally through the Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement Scheme, once the Npower payment is activated then npower beneficiaries will start getting Npower payment. Although during the process of disbursement of Npower payment these stipends might fail and the Npower payment process will be reinitiated.
