According to Npower News on Npower payment, Npower payment has been suspended till March when Npower becomes active again, this is to allow for a robust investigation into the alleged request for a transfer of huge sum of money by the ex-minister in charge of Npower Dr Betta Edu who also doubles as the minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
According to Npower News, few weeks ago President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspended Npower payment and all operations associated with Npower as a result of corrupt practices in the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and the National Social Investment Programme Agency. Npower payment was supposed to continue by January after December Npower payment but as a result of the alleged corruption in the Ministry the President decided to put Npower on hold for six weeks, as soon as Npower resumes then Npower payment will resume, Npower batch c are owed 12months, 8 months, 3 months and some Npower batch c are owed 6 months.
According to Npower News, the permanent secretary in charge of Npower is putting all measures in place to make sure that all eligible Npower batch c receive their Npower payment when Npower resumes around March, Npower batch c not shortlisted should not expect Npower payment, Npower payment will be made to only eligible Npower batch c under the graduate and non graduate category, Npower batch c without 'beneficiary' status on their Npower portal will not receive Npower payment, Npower batch c was advised to always check their Npower portal to determine if they were shortlisted or not, if an Npower batch c sees 'beneficiary' on his or her Npower portal, it simply means that the Npower batch c was shortlisted and will receive Npower payment, on the other hand if the Npower portal displays 'applicant' then the Npower batch c was not shortlisted and will not receive Npower payment.
According to Npower News, Npower batch c have been advised to exercise patience as all measures to effect a successful Npower payment are being put in place, and investigations ongoing, during this period Npower batch c have been implored to desist from any form of violence in an attempt to ensure that their Npower payment are made, any form of request regarding Npower payment can be addressed formally to the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and this can be done in writing and professionally.
