According to Npower News on Npower payment today June 27th 2024, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspended four programs run by the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA), including Npower, as a result of concerns about how funds were being used in these programs.

According to Npower News, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) found and recovered ₦30,000,000,000 from contractors that was lost and this fund is hoped to be used to restart payments to beneficiaries of Npower batch c in the Npower program soon.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is still investigating officials they suspect of embezzling funds from the National Social Investment Programmes, including the previous program leader Ms Halima Shehu and Betta Edu who used to work in the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation the ministry that oversaw the National Social Investment Programmes.

In conclusion Npower payments to beneficiaries of Npower batch c is on hold while the investigation is ongoing.
