Npower beneficiaries receive their stipend from the Central Bank of Nigeria through the Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement Scheme after the stipend has been approved by the Ministry For Humanitarian Affairs.

When Npower Stipend Is To Be Paid

Npower beneficiaries receive their stipend when their payroll tab is updated with payment data, once the payroll tab is updated with payment data then the Npower beneficiary's payment has been initiated, stipend payment all things being equal is supposed to be made at the end of the month after payroll has been cut off every 21st of the stipend payment month, payroll cut off is a situation whereby eligible Npower beneficiaries' lists due for payment are submitted to Central Bank of Nigeria and NIBSS (Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement Scheme) to effect payment, but due to bank network issues and payment processing issues the stipend payment might take a little longer. The stipend is transferred electronically either through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), NIBSS Instant Payment (NIP), depending on the mode of payment transfer the stipend payment might be slower or faster most times NIP transfers are faster than NEFT transfers.
