According to Npower News, following the announcement by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund a few days ago on the beginning of a sensitization program for student loans, the management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund  led by its Managing Director, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr has finally announced 24th of May, 2024 as the official date for the opening of the student loan portal for the federal government student student loan applications.
