Application for the Federal Government’s distribution of 2,000 CNG-powered tricycles is currently open, in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. This initiative highlights the president’s strong commitment to uplifting Nigerians, particularly the youth. By launching innovative programs like the Presidential CNG Initiative, the government aims to build a sustainable and self-sufficient future, reducing transportation costs, generating employment, and supporting clean energy.

The distribution of the CNG-powered tricycles marks a key milestone in promoting both economic development and environmental sustainability, as outlined in the Renewed Hope Agenda. It also demonstrates the government's commitment to lowering living expenses for Nigerians and fostering entrepreneurship through the shift to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the transportation sector.

This program is designed to develop a greener and more affordable public transport system, reinforcing the administration’s priorities of job creation, sustainable growth, and youth empowerment. The initiative ensures that Nigeria’s future is based on resilience, innovation, and shared prosperity.

Participants in the Presidential CNG Initiative must undergo training on how to operate and maintain CNG tricycles. They will also have the opportunity to work with aggregators, who collaborate with associations and Pi-CNG to manage the process of tricycle ownership. Beneficiaries can start earning income immediately, with the option to gradually own their tricycles based on the terms set by their aggregators.
