The Nigerian Air Force is inviting qualified and interested individuals to apply for its 2024 Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 33 recruitment for graduates. Applications will open on 14 October 2024.


Overview of NAF DSSC Recruitment:


The Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) offers opportunities for both civilians and serving military personnel to be enlisted as officers. The program is aimed at degree holders with specialized skills in particular fields. Training lasts for six months of rigorous military preparation, after which successful candidates are commissioned as Flying Officers.


Eligibility Criteria:


1. Applicants must have a minimum of a Second Class Upper Division for degree holders or Upper Credit for HND holders.

2. They must possess credits in English and Mathematics, along with three additional credits relevant to their field of study.

3. Computer proficiency is an added advantage.

4. Applicants must present an NYSC Discharge Certificate or an NYSC Exemption Letter at the time of application.

5. Candidates must be fully registered with relevant professional bodies in Nigeria where applicable.

6. Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.

7. The minimum height requirement is 1.66 meters for men and 1.63 meters for women.

8. Applicants must be medically, physically, and mentally fit.

9. Applicants must have no criminal convictions.

10. Age requirements:

    - General applicants must be between 20 and 30 years (those born on or before 27 September 1995 are ineligible).

    - Medical Consultants should be aged 25 to 40 years (those born on or before 27 September 1985 are ineligible).

- Acknowledgment Form.
